Grants from CFNL community fund: - The Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador for materials for resource centres around the province to help families living with the disease.
- The Burin Peninsula Brighter Futures Inc. to support programs such as their Healthy Baby Clubs and resource centres that focus on the needs of children of low-income families.
- The Buckmaster’s Circle Community Centre to assist with a Parenting Power program that is dedicated to fostering confident and happy parents by developing skills that make parenting easier.
- The Boys and Girls Clubs of NL to fund Healthy Baby Programs in Wabana, Upper Island Cove, Gander, Norris Arm, Botwood, Buchans, St. Anthony and St. John's.
- The Labrador Creative Arts Festival to support the editing, reproduction and distribution of a film about the festival.
- Turks Gut Conservation Inc. to fund acting lessons, homework support, music lessons, games, crafts, and heritage lessons for local children.
- Future SET (Future Scientists, Engineers and Technologists) to provide eight bursaries for children of low-income families to attend Future SET. This program aims to build confidence among children and encourages them to pursue and enjoy science.
- The Englee Youth Centre to fund after-school homework sessions, babysitting courses and healthy living activities in the fitness centre.
The South Brook Recreation Committee to support tutoring programs for students and provide access to computers to children with no access
- Choices for Youth to fund a cooking program for street kids teaches cooking skills, effective budgeting, nutrition and hygiene while gaining valuable employment skills such as time management, team work, responsibility and commitment.
- Junior Achievement of Newfoundland and Labrador to fund day-long programs in Gros Morne and White Bay, for successful female entrepreneurs to meet and motivate/mentor young women.
- Nain's Torngasok Cultural Centre to assist with re-printing of the children's book, "Anguti's Amulet" in English and Inuktitut, an important tool for teaching cultural history, archaeology and language. Most of the first edition copies were destroyed in a fire in the Centre in March 2005.
- The Protected Areas Association to organize a series of capacity building workshops for non-profits across the province. These workshops will provide high quality learning opportunities at a reasonable price to help improve project management with non-profits.
- The Virginia Park Community Centre to provide a safe after-school place.
- Branch’s Singing Kitchen to subsidize meal preparation for low-income families followed by a sharing circle in which residents help to keeping the culture of the community alive by sharing songs, stories, jokes and recipes.
- Labrador Heritage Society for a Heritage Craft Shop Tea Room and Internet Café in North West River.
Grants from CFNL funds Dr. Harry Roberts Fund - set up by Edward, Douglas and Peter Roberts to commemorate their father, Dr. Harry Roberts, a well-known physician in Newfoundland and Labrador who died in 2004. The returns are being used to fund the Fit for School competition involving innovative projects in the areas of fitness/wellness/ health/physical education generated by elementary students. The winners are: - Templeton Academy, Meadows for "Groovin’ and Choosin’", a 10-week program for Grade Fives that incorporates dance, nutrition and art lessons.
- The Grade 6 students at Clarenville Middle School for their project “Out with the Old and In with the New” – a program that attempts to change unhealthy attitudes and habits by utilizing drama, physical exercise and art.
- Bonne Bay Academy, Woody Point for activities for K to 12 students including: exercises at the beginning of morning classes; physical activities set for last 30 minutes of the week for the entire school, staff and students; a speak-off promoting active and healthy lifestyles and salad-making and poster-making contests.
- Amalgamated Academy, Bay Roberts for a series of projects related to positive healthy and active behaviour i.e. “Get Caught Eating Healthy” where students are randomly chosen to win healthy prizes; monthly food exhibits where students showcase their own recipes for healthy snacks and production of a student exercise video, with music and moves that appeal to them.
- Bishop Abraham Elementary School, St. John’s for Grade Sixes to Go Wild in the Wilds. It’s an opportunity for low income kids from an inner city school to try out new activities that they normally wouldn’t have access to i.e. archery and golf during a day at the Wilds golf course. A video will be made of the outing to share with the school and parents.
- Fatima Academy, St. Bride’s for Grade Sixes to organize a heath fair for students, parents, staff and the general public that emphasizes the importance of active and healthy lifestyles.
Cy Mills Scholarship Fund - set up by friends of the late Cy Mills to fund an annual scholarship for 1 boy and 1 girl at the St. John’s Boys and Girls Club. These have gone to: - Katherine Casey, St. John’s

Pius X Church, St. John’s to support church and parish activities National Theatre School Fund - set up to fund a scholarship for a Newfoundlander/Labradorian to attend the National Theatre School in Montreal. It has gone to: Anthony Insurance Incorporated Fund - for safety and prevention initiatives in Newfoundland and Labrador (yet to be designated).
Furlong Family Scholarship Fund - set up by the Furlong family to provide a scholarship for a level III student from Corner Brook and surrounding areas (yet to be awarded).
Joseph & Emma Taylor Memorial Scholarship Fund - for a level III student of Bonne Bay Academy on the Northern Peninsula. It has gone to: - Chrystal Goosney, Woody Point

1) 2004 law suit against suppliers of monosodium glutamate (MSG) and nucleotides, two popular flavour enhancers: - The Labrador Friendship Centre in Happy Valley-Goose Bay for a series on food preparation, food preservation and traditional cooking for Aboriginals and non-Aboriginals.
- The Northshore Early Childhood Association in Corner Brook for a program to help families in western Newfoundland become more innovative with their food budget while eating healthy and nutritious meals.
- The Seniors Resource Centre for its grocery busing program for seniors in the St. John’s area.
2) 2007/2008 EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)/Rubber Chemicals Class Action settlement: - REAL Program to assist underprivileged youth travel to activities.
- National Cancer Treatment & Research Foundation to allow volunteer drivers in Grand Falls-Windsor transport cancer patients to appointments.
- Victorian Order of Nurses for an adult day program to assist seniors traveling to various programs.
- Calypso Foundation to assist transportation of developmental disabled participants to programs.
- WheelWay Transportation to provide transit for people with disabilities.
- Young Adult Cancer Canada for travel expenses for young
adults to attend conference on surviving cancer
- Seniors Resource Centre for a grocery bus program to assist
seniors to shop on their own and socialize
- Easter Seals Society of NL, West Coast Operations to help children and youth who have physical disabilities access area programs
- Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Centre, Kids Cancer Travel Fund to support a fund of last resort for families who do not qualify for other provincial travel assistance programs for their children to access medical services in St. John's
- St. John's Native Friendship Centre to provide transportation to and from appointments in St. John's for clients from Labrador
- VON Gander Branch for the transport of clients to and from pre-employment programs
- Independent Living Resource Centre for the transportation of clients to and from various programs in St. John's area
- Association for New Canadians to defray transportation costs for clients who live more than kilometers away from programs
